I watch the Yankees and Boston a lot. The Yankees are a complete catastrophe. They have starting pitchers who are sporadic. They have a couple of relief pitchers who are great. This is the problem. Their offensive attack is the worst in baseball. Completely unbalanced and some players are overrated. The line up is full of rally killers. If the first and second hitters get hot, it doesn't help. The third and fourth batters are free swingers and will average around .240 batting average. By what I see, They will be on top when it comes to men left on base. This won't be because their unlucky. They aren't synchronized.
The Yankees are the money team this year. They might win the close one's because of the two relief pitchers (8th & 9th inning) but they are going to lose a slew of games trying to score runs.
Low scoring games they have a chance to win the game and when the rally killers have a good day which are far between they have a chance. Only a chance. They will be the only games they will win.
Yankees are a team for the good handicapper to watch intensively. There is a lot of money to made betting against the Yankees this year because of their favoritism at the sports book.
They will have their little mini streaks along the way, but they will finish at the bottom of their division this year.
They are the only team I ever watched that will have a better record if injuries force back up players to play and a couple of minor league players. If there's a lot of injuries - the Yankees have a chance at a .500 record. If they have very little injuries, they haven't got a chance at .500 for the season.
