The line has barely budged for both the spread and totals in over a week. After early bettors put their money in, there isn't enough volume in Vegas to move it. Initial reverse line movement pointed towards sharp money going on San Fransisco and the over, but recreational bettors the past week have been quite evenly split 50/50 on cash, with a slightly higher percentage of tickets going on Kansas City. This type of weak action has stalled the lines and created value for anyone with recent information on either team. I don't expect the line to move until closer this weekend when betting interest picks up again amongst the non-betting public ( I know so many people that don't gamble at all. Except on the SB), but I'm predicting it leans towards the Chiefs. Mahomes is the obvious crowd favorite golden boy for SB54. Im predicting Chiefs @-2.5 ... And the total will go even higher if the weather permits (rain is still in the forecast for Sunday, which could slow the scoring). If its raining, the total will probably go back down to 51. It'll probably be the same here when search engines lead people to stumble upon the site looking for betting info on the SuperBowl. How well this site's marketing, social media presence, alexa rank, keyword search effectiveness, and so much more will determine how much traffic it'll bring in. Its definitely the biggest opportunity out of the whole year for the PM community to grow and should be taken advantage of. Youtube vlogs, daily twitter messages, posted articles, advertisement banners, the more links back to the website out on the internet the more traffic it will bring in.
I'll go out on a limb here and say we blow the record out of the water with 400+ picks. There could be an argument made for picking either side so I think many PMers are just waiting to put their picks in closer to Sunday when more info is out. Its also two great teams with a lot of history and massive fanbases. It should get quite a bit of media attention this weekend.
