Dallas Cowboys Vs Atlanta Falcons 11-4-2012 0 views

What are everyone thoughts on this game I keep going back and forth. Dallas seems to have the better stats and Atlanta keeps winning those close games. Winning close games, in my opinion, is the sign of a very good team. The cowboys on the other hand always seems to lose the close games. Dallas's record ATS as an underdog is pretty good and not good as a favorite. I want to pull the trigger on the cowboys on the road getting the 4.5 but Atlanta and their home record and they way they h e been pulling out the close games this year is keeping me off.

I have Dallas in my power ratings in 8th @24.66 with Atlanta in 6th @ 25.82. Atlanta has a HFA of 2.97 which puts my line at about Atlanta -4. My gut is saying this line should be at -3 and everyone in the world is piling on Atlanta because... well, they are playing really well right now and Dallas has been hot, cold, hot, cold. This really doesn't seem to be the case though.

The consensus and money appears to put this as a slightly square play as more money appears to be on Dallas yet the line has moved in there favor today by a full point.

The basic H2H trends I am looking at favor Dallas in this position but only slightly.

I'll take the points and hope Romo and the boys can keep rolling off that awesome 2nd half last week. I see it within a field goal at the end.

Good luck guys!

Four Words for each team describe the game here. Forget power rankings and details.

Tony Romo Jason Garrett

Mike Smith Matty ICE.

Mike Smoth and Matty Ice do not lose at home. I don't like the hook but you have a team rolling coming off a bye.

You get a Dallas team who lost on the road when outplaying the Ravens and can't be feeling good after a failed rally last week vs. the Giants.

Take ATL SU and should get the cover .

Part of handicapping IMO is commonsense so many get power rankings "thier" numbers and systems and rules and forget the eye test and most important common sense.

Just saying anything wrong as I have my numbers also but don't forget common sense.

Good Luck with eiether side. My side would be Atlanta at home where Ryan & Smith have a ridculious record of sucess.

Appreciate responses guys. Instead of forcing something I keep going back and forth I'm gonna do the smart thing and just watch. The stats are telling me Dallas but eye test tells me Atlanta. If I bet and won i would be happy but if I loss I would be kicking myself for forcing action when there are better spots to be had.

Jp agree completely. I limit myself to at most one game a weekend sometimes no games even for weeks. I handicapp each game and have a pretty solid record for those but I give it out as free information.

In the NFL I went overall 9-3 SU and ATS losses woudl have been Clev as a meduim dog, the Giants and Washington as a slight home fav. I posted on all the games and if I was a tout probably would have been 5-1 as I would have loss on the Giants only and winners with sea, chi,SD and GB. But I choose not to force it and be selective I loaded up on one games this weekend and already withdrew the cash.. I hope I helped some others get cashes and hope I helped tonight.

Gotta love those oh by the way field goals near the end of the game that turn a spread win into a spread loss. You watch this game long enough and you eventually see everything and tonight I did. The ironic thing is that I'm on the Cowboys all night but if the Falcons get the first down on their last drive, they just let the clock run out without ever attempting a field goal and the game ends with Dallas covering since the Boys have no more timeouts left. This game is the perfect example of the horror stories in betting the NFL. I've had my fill of them since I never seem to be on the winning side of these ones. Ughhh, okay I'm done.

You're right about not putting all your eggs in one basket, but c'mon, you have to admit they were a bit lucky tonight especially regarding the cover. I wouldn't agree that they deserved the cover in light of the way they played, strategy just dictated that was the way to go, but it could have easily gone the other way. We all have games like this, it's just that they never seem to even out in the long run. I guess you just remember the bad beats and all you can do is turn the page and continue on. Good luck to all.

Very, very soft player Tony Romo. Was running with the ball only 10m out, could have run over easy for a Touch Down on his own. But instead, he through a shocking pass out of play.

Very disappointing team Dallas.
