Two teams that are hard to figure on any given day.
Let's start with the Seahawks who got the cover as I predicted last week and finished strong and were home all week. I do think the Jets who I don't like overall are better than the Vikings who are comign towards a 7-9 season at best.
Seattle I love the 12th man and who doesn't as a capper ? It helps as a nice add on with thier pass rusher Irvin and Clemons off the edge and if you have read my previous posts on seattle thier Secondary size i enormous. Also they have Wilson who doesn't make too many mistakes along with decent rec's in Tate and Rice who has improved this season. Also you have BEAST MODE. I think he will be tasting the rainbow a few times today as he will get a heavy load.
The Jets have Mark Snachise... he is not great but he is not as terrible as the record and some stats show. Also Someone needs to get Tony Soprano out of retirement to what SPARANO and this team might be able to do something offensively. Well Shone Greene been there done that and the receivers well they suck too and are going against a secondary who will beat them to a pulp along with nice pass rush.
The X factor that is keeping me away from this game is the most overrated coach in football Rex Ryan. ( please see sporting news or any media outlets if you have not heard about this... if you haven't please do not wager on this game as you are not in tune ).
I think Ryan is still a solid defensive coach and with the lack of talent and going up against a strong defense will keep the negative plays to a minimum and have every series end in a kick. Ya I know vague and cliche but true.
Also vs. rookie qb's normally the Jets and Rex esp going back to event he Baltimore days has been able to keep the score down and confuse them.
If pressed Seattle as they might pull away late but I am not sold on laying a TD. This could be a 13-6 13-9 15-12 type of ugly win for the hawks.
Any thoughts ?
