Wichita State Vs Creighton 3-10-2013 0 views

Couple of angles I want to play here just can't get thier all the way but wanted to share as others may benefit.

Both teams on paper numbers look pretty much identicala nd in a down year for the MVC overall excluding these 2 teams thier is no surprise we have a 1-2 matchup in the final. IMO this is for seeding as both teams should... get in The Blue Jays are in for sure.

Both teams 26-7 overall WIST is 14-6 conference and 5-0 on Neutral courts, Creighton is 15-5 conference and 4-0 on Neutral courts.

1-1 on a split season seies where each held serve WIST winning 67-64 -3 and Creighton 91-79 recently laying -5. so on a nuetral court 2-3 is the correct number based on the calculations and it sits at 2.5 .

A closer looks says the uner will be the way to go as first game 67-64 was 131 and game 2 was a 2nd half was 103 points to get it to 180. This being the 3rd game in 3 days I would definately lean towards the under 133 all the way to 130.5 but hard to when tif it is within 4-6 points you know thier will be a foul fest.

I have a stronger look on the Blue Jays here are they were a top 14 ranked program this season and won a early season tourney in Vegas. Then you follow up with a strong season in the MVC where they were trailing the Wheatshockers most of the season for the top seed and regular season crown.

By the numbers creighton getting the #1 seed made less work for them yesterday against a tired and now NIt bound Indiana St. team and Drake but overall both confortable wins and niether game was ever in doubt IMO. The Jays had only 3 players aroudn the 30 min mark on Friday and only 1 player over 26 minutes yesterday so should not be overally tired as they had no stress with a 41-18 outburst in the 1st half yesterday.

The Shockers well that a different grain... 5 players over 28 minutes in each of the last 2 days against inferior competition and stress minutes at times in the 2nd half can cause fatigue in the 3 games in 3 days.

I like a strong lean at the Jays -140 and -2.5

Any thoughts ?

Also forgot to mention Ron Baker to the Shocker had an ankle tweak yesterday he is a nice bench player who avg about 8/3 a game and about 22-24 minutes.
Game was tight and nice win for the Jays and should help with seeding being a reg season and tourney champ. both numbers square on but we were on the slight right side.
