A new rule change in the NBA appears to really have an influence on totals. “overt, abrupt or abnormal non-basketball moves."
No longer are players like Trae Young, Steph Curry, James Harden, Damian Lillard, etc, allowed to pump fake and lean into the defender or slow down and abruptly stop and shoot. It will be either an offensive foul or a no call.
Just watching the games you notice a huge difference in the way these players and others play. Defenses are a lot more aggressive as well knowing the offensive player can’t get these calls anymore.
When will the books adjust? I don’t know but they will and until then maybe riding the unders for a few might be advantageous. Over totals are extremely inflated for the time being.
Look at this number: the point differential from over and unders thus far(how many points did the teams score over/under for set total for the game)
This is counting overtime games as well
