I would love to throw some cash on Hillary Clinton @+350, Jeb Bush @+1400 & long shot Rand Paul @ +2000. Lots could change till then, but it's Hillary's loose in my mind and would love to get +350.

Ps I'm not saying I'm voting for her, I just like her odds.

Rand at 20-1 is pretty good odds, I think his chances of getting the GOP nomination are better than Jeb Bush. Christie and Cruz would be other good bets if the odds were right.

I think Christie is looking good, at least from what I have seen I like him (mind you I haven't seen much recently). Not to steer this into a political discussion but it was funny the other day, I was talking to a guy on the phone. Tea Party member. He didn't know I was more liberal at least in my social views. I'm certainly more fiscally conservative. In any event, real nice guy. Outside of me having to ignore a few rants on the current administration he was a real nice person. It just amazes me how stand offish people get toward the election. I could have easily had beers with this guy, I certainly don't believe in his political views, but that's all that separated us. The way the media makes it look everybody just wants to kill each other. I think what the right needs right now is a fiscal conservative that doesn't freak everybody out with social policy. I could easily get on board with somebody like that. I just can't go right with the social agenda and I think that is what has scared off a lot of swing voters the last two elections. Just my 2 cents.

I personally think it will come down to Christie vs Paul, in the end. My problem with Christie is that he's for things like NSA spying on americans without due process, and Military adventurism. Socially he's much like Romney, though Romney pandered to the tea party in end to get the nomination. There's a lot I like about Rand as a civil libertarian (he's against foreign aid, propping up puppet regimes) though I don't care for a lot to do with the tea party. It's too bad that someone like Gary Johnson has no shot. Gary would be the perfect executive IMO.

I have sort of checked out from following much with politics of late Reno. Really, more happy as result. I didn't know Christie was advocating those type of polices. I guess what I get frustrated with is I really don't believe in the fiscal policy of the left. In fact I can't stand it, but the social agenda of the right is so distasteful. I don't think a lot of these guys on the right want it that way. I just think they have to cater to certain groups to win the ticket and many of those groups have far right views.

I don't think Christie will have the backing from his party to win the primary. I also think Rand Paul will get beat up over some of his fringe ideas. Thats the reason I like Jeb Bush at the current odds, he has the Bush name and that go's along way in politics. He is already raising big money and at the same time is avoiding all the back and forth that Christie & Paul are dealing with.

I remember reading during George W Bush's first run that 20% of voters thought he was his father. That was just before the Iowa caucus, that shows you how informed many voters are in this country. I now see that George W's approval rating is at 46% and yet was in the 20% range when his 2nd term was coming to an end. In just 5+ years his overall rating has more than doubled.

That is kind of why I think Jeb Bush has a good shot at winning the nod. While Christie/Paul are forced to make decisions that will push some people off of them, Jeb can just sit back and shake hands and raise money.

I'm still gonna blindly vote Libertarian no matter who it is.......Minimum Government, Maximum Freedom

Their were 24 million viewers watching the debate. I think Donald Trump is the reason why. It's early for debates so 24 million viewers is unusual.

I predict he will fade away within the next couple of months. I think people will get tired sooner or later hearing the same thing over and over.

For the time being - he's fun to watch.

You are right ... the average American can not name the 3 Branches of Government, knows how many people make up those 3 Branches, knows who their 2 State Senators are, etc, etc, etc ... but, they have watched a whole lot of TV. With Trump having a hit Reality TV show for the last 10-12 years, appearing in several movies & TV shows, a few TV commercials, several appearances on WWE Wrestling, the average American knows who he is.

I voted for the same guy

All I know is Ted Cruz better not get the nomination. He's not a real Mexican.

Permit me to hint, whether it would be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that the Commander in Chief of the American army shall not be given to nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen.

- 1st Supreme Court Chief Justice - John Jay (1789-1795) ... and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States

Legally, Canadian born Rafael Edward Cruz can not be President ...

US Constitution, Article II, Section 1: No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States. What is NATURAL-BORN? >>> "the term applying to the person who is born in the country where they are a citizen"

Black's Law Dictionary: What is NATURAL-BORN? definition of NATURAL-BORN (Black's Law Dictionary)

What's really sad, is that no one in the Government or Media has said a word about it.

Silence is Compliance!
